In a press release, the Ministry of National Defense elaborates on media coverage “More than a decade since the Shun-An Joint Operations System has been at work, the system still cannot reach JOCC”. (October 21st, 2018)

In response to media coverage “More than a decade since the Shun-An Joint Operations System has been at work, the system still cannot reach JOCC”, the Ministry of National Defense (MND) clarifies today (21st) that the Shun-An Joint Operations System has already been integrated to various command and control systems; communication connections in command centers at all levels, including JOCC, are normal. Together they frame a joint operation blueprint. The command systems and signal formats of the Army, the Navy, and the Air Force are all designed according to Shun-An system, and meet the upcoming demands of inter-communication of command and control systems. The media coverage is far from the truth.

The MND stresses that Shun-An system has been tested in missions such as Han Kuang Exercise and Joint Operations Training. The system never failed to meet the needs of joint operations. The MND will continue to strengthen the command and control systems’ inter-communication capacity, so as to meet future demands on joint operations’ command and control tasks.
